Position in wood degradation in rivers:

Driftwood plays a beneficial and essential role in geomorphology and ecology of the river systems. Driftwood can also be hazardous e.g. enhancing flood levels, destructing buildings and infrastructure, injuring people and animals.

It is thus essential to understand how driftwood in river systems is recruited, degraded, transported and stored. Are you interested on investigating wood degradation in rivers?
